We are delighted to announce a free workshop for young children and their parents to explore creativity through technology. Scratch is a computer programming language that has been developed by the Massachussets Institute of Technology to allow young people to make their own interactive art and computer games.

Scratch has been used by young people to produce the Avatars displayed in the Showroom Cinema during Unsheffield and the Sheffield Children’s Festival.

This workshop offers an opportunity to spend some dedicated time with your children learning the basics of Scratch. Scratch is free for Linux, Mac and PC so you can continue developing projects together at home.

The workshop lasts 2 hrs with further free-time to develop your own projects and is recommended for children 7-14 years accompanied by parent or carer. Refreshments will be provided.

This workshop is part of the Unsheffield outreach programme and supported by Access Space and Lovebytes.
