Inspired Ideas Surgery

So many good ideas …

If you are anything like us you probably have twenty ideas for business/technology models a day, a few of which are good and more than a few that border on insanity. Out of the many good ideas that we accumulate in any one year a very small portion actually gain any traction, if for no other reason than we just don’t find the time to offer them the time that they deserve.
If only we could allow these ideas a chance to incubate in an environment full of like minded people whose only interest was to share experience and exchange views, if this was possible we could nurture these ideas whilst mitigating that biggest of fears, the risk of plagiarism. Well we believe that this is more than possible, not only because of the underpinning spirit that encompasses Unsheffield but also because we all operate in sectors whose real value is counted in the ways that we collaborate and the ways that this collaborative ethos is disseminated into the projects that we deliver – be it projects that we deliver for our customers or projects that we keep for ourselves.

Inspired Ideas Surgery

Unsheffield is proud to announce the ‘Inspired Ideas Surgery’. This is your chance to share, explore and take forward some of your creativity. Your idea could be anything that’s innovative and inspired by Stimulus, the weekend’s happenings and the Future Users of Cool Technology theme. So if you have an idea for a technology business model, a web business model, an original technology integration idea, a use of cool technology, then share
Over the weekend we want as many ideas to be submitted, commented on and voted for as possible. The authors of the three ideas that gain the most attention will be offered the chance to take those ideas into our Inspired Ideas Surgery on Sunday at 4.30 pm.  This session is made up of seasoned veterans from our community and Unsheffield sponsors whose only remit is to offer advice, direction and foresight into how you might give your idea wings.
This year’s panel for the Inspired Ideas Surgery will be:
  • Chris Dymond – Director of Business Innovation (TechnoPhobia)
  • Lucy Wurstlin – Digital Commissioning Manager (4iP)
  • Dougald Hine – accidental entrepreneur (School of Everything, Signpostr )
  • Josie Fraser -social and educational technologist
Even if your idea doesn’t get through to the panel, the ten highest rated will also get a fantastic t-shirt to commemorate their contribution.  So, what are you waiting for – click here to Be Inspired.
